According to a rumor posted by GameInformer, sources have told the magazine Capcom is teaming up with Namco to produce two separate new fighting games, a Capcom vs. Namco game using the Street Fighter IV engine, and a Namco vs. Capcom fighter with the Tekken 6 engine.
The titles will look and play separately, according to the rumor. The Capcom developed game will be 2.5D and the Namco title having complete three-dimensional movement.
Namco Bandai produce Katsuhiro Harada and Capcom's Yoshinori Ono were both teasing fans about the possibility at the recent Evo fighting tournament in Las Vegas. A video trailer for the game(s) are said to debut at San Diego Comic-Com this Saturday, July 24.
